Teen kills himself after told to limit game time
Yap Wai Chung , a 16 year old boy from Petaling Jaya, Malaysia electrocuted himself after his father told him he had to cut down his online gaming time.


From The Star, "Worried about his sons addiction to computer games, he lectured the teenager about it and told him to limit his computer playtime to an hour a day."

"After the scolding, Wai Chung ate his dinner and continued playing computer games while his parents went off to bed."

"'We rushed to the study and found Wai Chung on the floor with electrical wires around his body,' the father said at the University Malaya Medical Centre, where Wai Chung's body had been sent for a post-mortem."

"His father said a note was found on his computer, asking his parents to give his beloved computer to a friend."

Yeah that happened with my ex too.  Ugh the fool wouldn't even talk to me 'cause he'd be playing. -_=x

As for this killing thing, whoa.  People can be realy irrational and ridiculous.  Looks like we better set our dang priorities straight.

As for games in general, well okay sure they're addicting, but it's a little too obsessive if one kills themself due to video gaming obsessions...

I remember my computer crashed and totally screwed up due to GunBound (back in 2003--lol) and I was so pissed off lol. But hey, that changed me! I quit playing and now I have time for other trhings. I used to be soo obsessed.

I feel sorry for the boy that he died, though. :/

yes, he plays ALL THE TIME! while i'm over for a few hours, he plays the game rather than spend any time with me before i leave. no i haven't been reading the message boards. i've been on that site, but i would have no idea where to start reading at first.

we fight all the time because of the game. my ex plays counter-strike and now WoW all the time, as well. last time i date any guys who loooove games. it's rather annoying and a bit childish if you're a grown man.

like my cousin says, "you can't make love to a computer". hahahah.
