layout questions., modules and such. Options

before i start....here's a link to my xanga. what you see on that page is what i've accomplished thus far. i have about an intermediate knowledge of code, but i'm just stuck on a few points....

My Questions:

how do i move my modules to the left in their own boxes? Minimalist Example
~I want my modules seperate from my enteries. i think they look tacky...I've tried the code in the "scripts" section. I have trouble with the custom module part.~

will i have to resize my blog box after i take out the modules?
~just fmi~

how do i get a background pic in all of my custom modules?
~I already have a pic uploaded on photobucket. i just need some clean code that i can use with custom modules to do this.~

how do i get rid of my far right scrollbar?
~I am just annoyed by it. I'd rather only have one scrollbar.~

how do i add an intro page (a page that opens before my actual xanga and contains a link to my xanga?)
~I would like to have a page that warns people of the content of my page before they enter so that i don't get rude comments...that's been happening lately ~

Hey I am new there for I don't know if I am posting in the right place or the right way so anyway I wassnted to see if anyone could help me with my layout. It is pretty good but the one thing I can't get right is that I don't want the backgroung picture to repeat. I want it in the middle with a black background and it movie along with the scroll bar. so if posable could someone halp me?
