Not letting one's religious tendencies affect there political career would be very ignorant on the part of the politician. Having a government full of the miniority of the religions (atheists + agnostics) would never happen. I completely agree. The thing is, as someone mentioned before - the majority of America is relgious. Because we're a democracy, majority rules; therefore, there are going to be many religious leaders in the political offices. |
