Of course they have the chance of becoming daily smokers.
It's a terrible addiction, and many teens that try it even once can become addicted, which could easily lead to becoming a daily smoker. I don't have much advice. Have you tried talking to them or their parents? If they won't listen, then talk to their parents about it. |

QUOTE(MyVermilionPlague @ Feb 27 2005, 9:28 PM) Of course they have the chance of becoming daily smokers. It's a terrible addiction, and many teens that try it even once can become addicted, which could easily lead to becoming a daily smoker. I don't have much advice. Have you tried talking to them or their parents? If they won't listen, then talk to their parents about it. I would not tell their parents. They would probably abandon me. If you're a good friend and you're worried about their health, try to give subtle hints about quitting smoking. Invite them to a drug awareness meeting, bring up how bad smoking is in conversations, but don't be obnoxious. Example of bringing it up- Her: I hope the ozone layer doesn't die in my lifetime... You: Well, smoking doesn't really help. Well, yeah. You get the point. If it's bothering you a lot, talk to your parents about it, not theirs. It's not your responsibility to tell their parents about their kids. |
