opposite, of what happens to most? Options

hmm. okay so i havnt posted anything on cb in ages. but i come here too much. definatly need a life -_-. but anyways. i guess i just want to know if anyone has the same problem as me.

you know how most of the time. its the boyfriend that is scared to death of the girls dad, because of him being overprotective and things?

well with me, its quite the opposite. we've been dating for 7 months or so, and my parents dont know. but they like him a lot. however, his parents seriously hate me. for awhile they forbid him from seeing me, i'm not entirely sure why. possibly because of one bad impression... but that was months ago. he told me they've never treated any of his past girlfriends this way. so i really dont know what to think. anyways. yeah.

any advice? i've tried writing them letters. but i always end up writing them, then throwing them away, because they never seem quite right. how do i convince them that i truly care about him when they wont let me near him?

i'm kind of in the same thing, his mom can't accept the fact that we're together, she keeps trying to hook him up with someone else or that's what he says. his dad is fine with us. but our families are family friends, they are pretty much very close
