*shrugs* I told my mum. Course, I lost it at age 20 and it wasn't a particularly big deal.
To me, a bigger deal is that I fell completely in love with him and he fell in love with me and we're still together. Were you in that sort of situation? I just hope you used protection :) It may not be wise to tell your mum, but really it depends on the sort of person she is. I have a younger sister about your age though and I think it'd really worry my mum if she lost her virginity. She's too young to fall in love and teenage lust makes people do silly things. |

But then there are people who are young and people who are _young_ Its a simple developmental fact that peoples emotional makeup takes a while to develop and their brains aren't fully formed during most of adolescence. This doesn't mean that you can't fall in love, but it does mean that its less likely. Even the simple fact that a lot of younger people have no idea where their lives are going yet means that it can be really hard for some to know how they can share their lives with someone. This isn't always the case. I have a brother who has been with his girlfriend for about 4 years now and it started in high school. But... I don't think that is always the case. I still stand by my statement that some young people are too young to fall in love. Or do you really think that all the teens who get into a new relationship every few weeks and have sex with each guy before dropping them because they're too emo or whatever... Is that love? Some teens will swear black and blue that it is, they'll say how much they LOVE their boyfriend and then within a couple of weeks have decided that they LOVE someone else. It's bullshit. |
