Alrighty, I've never gone out with a guy or even asked a guy I liked out. So, I've liked this guy for a few months now, and he hasnt asked me out. So now I want to ask him out, but I dont want to look like a complete idiot and mess it up. What do I do? How do I ask him out?

im like really shy so i would probably like ask a friend or write a note cuz then there woulnt be that moment like after he says no it would be weird u know??
