My boyfriend got his XBox 360 today and he told me that about 5% of about.. um.. 40,000 systems are defects. His isn't... Or at least I hope it isn't. He tested it so it's fine. Yay!
Wow this is a greater number than iPod nano controversy. at least for that, it was 1/10 of 1%. Also, there were enough nanos for everyone. Microsoft DEFINITELY screwed up on the XBox 360 launch. At least the PSP had enough to go around and there weren't that many defects. I sympathize for those who've waited in line and paid $400+ (including tax) for their XBox 360 premium only to have it crash. >=[ |

PSP didn't. Also, Sony pulled the same thing Microsoft did this time with the PS2, that is, not providing enough units to meet demand in order to raise hype. |
