Joe Budden is garbage, and he's lost influence in the mixtape game. He can't hold a candle to Saigon, Jay Bezel or Jae Millz.

Its understandable that Joe Budden isn't a mainstream sensation. Most lyrical artists aren't (which is unfortunate), but why has he lost his underground influence? Hiphop heads in the northeast that are wise to the mixtape game just aren't feelin Joe Budden. I got a few of his mixtapes right before he made it big and had his 15 minutes of fame; he was ok; nothing great; certainly not enough for me to waste my time researching and quoting his lackluster rhymes on an internet forum.

I don't think you really listen to Joe Budden. Joe Budden is to Big L what Eminem is to Kangsta. Ok, maybe I gone too far. Conscious songs? Real Life and Rap, Sing For The Moment, So Long Goodbye, Dumb Out, more. Storytelling? 3 Sides to a Story, Calm Down, Only You, I Want You Back, more.

if hip hop is all smoke and mirrors joe budden is the windex and the napkin. papoose? he has multis and clever punches at times, but his flow is like a pass from sebastian telfair - only on point half of the time. plus his voice and deliver i cant stand. as joe budden said, his style reminds me of spinning rims, that shit got palyed out real quick.

saigon? i wont front saigon is ILL. i think joe budden is better though, saigon is not consistent at all, and he needs more work to be put out. i think joe budden and fabolous are the two most consistent on the mixtape scene.

researching and quoting his rhymes? all i did was listen to the first five tracks on Mood Muzik volume one. Underground influence? Joe Budden is the most highly anticipated artists and has a huge fanbase. Dumbout Season Vol. 1 and Mood Muzik vol. 2 are currently the two most anticipated mixtapes. Joe Budden maintains a relationship with his fans unparrelled with any artist - he posts on boxden, joebudden.com, and allhiphop.com.
