So what are you favorite songs from musicals?
I like (in no particular order) "Defying Gravity" from Wicked, "Good Morning Baltimore" from Hairspray, "The Tango Maureen" from RENT and "The Cell Block Tango" from Chicago. ![]() |

Seize the Day from the Newsies...I don't know if anyone's seen that, or if the Newsies even counts as a musical (of course there is singing and dancing) but i love the music from that movie.

QUOTE(saintruthanne @ Nov 27 2005, 3:18 PM) Seize the Day from the Newsies...I don't know if anyone's seen that, or if the Newsies even counts as a musical (of course there is singing and dancing) but i love the music from that movie. I love the Newsies and that is a great song! As for my favorite, it has to be from the Phantom of the Opera. It's at the point when Raoul, Christine, and the Phantom are all down in his lair. When they all start singing their little themes, I just burst into tears because it's so beautiful and moving! I'm a dork, I know...but every time Raoul sings "I tried so hard to free you" I just can't help myself. That and Roxie from Chicago ![]() |
