i have been using psp9 for a while and have been trying to blend images. but it does not seem to be working for me. so would photoshop be better? or should i practice more?.

Bottom line is: It comes down to talent.
You can do anything in PSP that you can in PS if you know what you're doing and have the creativity to make something good. You can own PS and still have crappy results if you aren't experienced enough. Most of these opinions here are just from people who are more used to one than the other, or buy into the preconceived hype that photoshop is better because it's been around longer (therefore has a better reputation), or costs more so "it must be better." My boyfriend and I debate about this often - him working only with PS, and myself preferring PSP. He can make anything I make in PSP with PS, and I can make nearly everything he can make in PS with PSP. The only things I can't make are because I'm not as experienced in graphic design as he is, not because of program inability. The programs are the same; it's the talent that is the determining factor of results. |
