I have a HUGE problem

first, i want to make something like this but like in different font and bg color. But how?!

1. ok so i opened ms paint and made the thingy the height and width that i wanted but im not sure how to put like a text box in so i can type things. do you click the big A and then drag it to how big you want the text to be? thats how i did it, but not sure if thats right.

2. after i made the text box thingy, i went to view and then clicked text toolbar. then i went a chose my font, which was scriptina, but how big should i make the font?! im not sure about that either

3. the biggest problem!! after i chose everything on how i thought it was supposed be, i exited out of the text toolbar thingy and then i try to type in a text in the box, but nothing appears!! i know im doing something wrong but wat?!

if you know the answer, could you please show me step by step on how to use paint and all that stuff?! i know im being a butthead and all, but i seriously dont know how to do this! Please reply ASAP!!!!!
