fob parents...., just read.. Options

well, deres a chance dat i might get a gf... (most likely...) but since i told ma rents dat i will tell them when i get one, i told them, but somehow they freaked out soooo bad... and they lectured me the whole day yestoday bout it... >< (ya, fob parents... they want me to focus in skul and not get a gf till i graduate from university... wtf!!! ) so i ono wat to do now... listen to ma resnts or disobey??? >< gahhh wat did you ppl when you have troubles like this???????

Ermm, I have never been through this since I have never been in a relationship before. But right now, I have this major crush on my friend and my family knows about him. They think I'm going out with him or something, but we aren't. It's a long story to why they think this way, but let's just say that I had a major breakdown at school over a month ago. So he decided to walk me home after knowing me for only a week and my dad and sibling saw us. Then like just over 2 weeks ago, we went out to buy gifts for our friends' upcoming birthdays. My brother knows it's the same guy so obviously he doesn't keep his mouth shut and start all these things at home that I'm dating him.

Anyway, um, if you really want to get this over with, ask your parents why they are so mad. After all, they DID tell you to tell them if you date a girl or whatsoever, right? & it's not your fault because you didn't expect such a negative reaction from them.

My parents are fobs but they came here when they were kids, so they are pretty Canadian-like. Everyone in my family is. Haha. My parents can never make my siblings and I turn into fobs. Okay, long story there but we are just pure CBCs. Anyway, all I got to say is that not only do I have to endure my brother's taunts, but I do recall the day that I asked my mom about relationships. Or she asked me. Whatever, anyway works. But for years and years, she said that my older sibling and I shouldn't date until we GRADUATE from UNIVERSITY! But my sister is in Uni right now and all my mom says is that because of my sister's tom-BOYish attitude, she will never find a guy.

But for me, she thinks that once I'm out of here, I will be dating right away. Like what the heck? It was one of her biggest objectives of NOT letting me go to a school that required moving out. Meh, it's all to darn weird. Since I mentioned something about teenagers dating all the time and such. & her simply saying that she knows how it's like to be a teenager and that lots of them date secretly behind their parents' backs. So I really don't know what to do or even give you a suggestion of what to do.

I live in a high populated fob community But most of the fob parents don't give a damn about who their daughter(s) and/or son(s) go out with. Meh, I wish my parents weren't so strict and worrisomes at times.

But "good luck" with your parents. I'm sure they will understand and hey, at least you're being a good son and telling them the truth when they told you to do so, right?
