so this friday, my friend told me to go drinking with her and her friend.

they do it every weekend. i seemed to care before, about their health and stuff, but now i don't really.

don't get me wrong, they're not forcing me to drink-- it's my decision. and i want to.

so tell me, what are the risks?

i know that if you drink too much you can like die.
and that if you get caught then you can get fined/whatever.
you might get addicted,
it gives you a terrible hangover.
and you might do something you regret.

so what else?

oh, one question.
it might seem stupid, but say you drink once and you're applying for a job sometime in the next year or so. it won't show up will it? on the drug test, i mean. i know it's not a drug, but just making sure.

actually i dont think there is anything wrong but the decisions that are made. i actually never heard someone dying from drinking too much. like nobody at all in my entire 17 years of life.

its usually drinking and driving being 16-18 years old kids have their liscences and do start drinking at that age.

like i drink but i dont have my liscence yet. but i havent got into any trouble and nothing has happened to me . its just the decisions that are made while drunk that are the risks of drinking.

Sadly, many people do die from alcohol poisoning. It is uncommon, but not exactly rare, for such a thing to occur on a college campus, for example. At my university, around 20 students were taken to the hospital for alcohol poisoning in the first half of the semester. It certainly can occur and it is a problem.

I agree that if done maturely and responsibly, drinking is not a bad thing, but the key is that it must be done maturely and responsibly, and in moderation.
