Alrighty, I have a header-image. I put it in the CSS background tag because I do want some text to overlap it.

But, for some insanely agitation reason, LJ simply will not interpret "center" as center. No, it interprets it as "right." It works when I plug that into an HTML page, but not on LJ. I've even put it into the Global Head tag. Still doesn't work. Anyone have any idea why that refuses to work?

LiveJournal in question

There's the journal if you want to see what it's doing. Ignore the entries and stuff. I haven't gotten to them yet. I've been wrestling with this estranged alignment issue.

Hm.. The background is centered for me, I even changed resolutions. It looks fine. Maybe you've been working on it already then. :P

I'd tell you how to fix the entries, but I'm assuming you know since you said you hadn't gotten there yet. Is the background still not centered for you?

.:edit:. Nevermind, I'm using Firefox.. I saw it in IE and it is misaligned. X( Let me mess around with it a little.

.:edit again:. Got it - just take out "center". All you need is background-position: top; and that should work.
