Ex, coming back Options

I dated this guy last year (Lets call him John). I broke up with him 'cause I felt kind of awkward (with him tickling me) and I didn't want to have anything over the summer. We came back to school, he dated my best friend. He broke up with her then asked me out again, I said no so I could fix things with my friend who I fought with (we're better now). He dated some other girl and then they broke up the other day. He asked me out yet again. I said that Id like to hang out with him again and become better friends to see if I really like him. Like, when he was dating the other people, I was so jealous and sad, I couldn't get him out of my mind. It started messin' with my school work some too. It was crazy. Now, I kept trying to get myself to move on, but anytime I could catch a glanse at him in the hall, I would.

The problem is 1-he dated my best friend and she still kind of has feelings for him 2-almost none of my friends like him because hes a 'bad guy', but some of the others know, like me, that he can be funny and stuff 3-I found out another one of my friends (lets call him Matt), who I flirt with a lot, likes me too, and I POSSIBLY may like him (one of those, "wait, he likes me, maybe I like him, hmmm, I DO flirt" things). My best friend who dated him thinks I should take a chance, but Im not sure. What should I do. I KIND of want to keep my options open with Matt, but I can't get John out of my head. He keeps saying he loves me so much and that we can still make it work out.

Oh, and Ive dated people, but its stressful cause Im not suppose to date until Im 16 so I have to hide it AND Im in a play right now so thats consumed my life, is it fair to date someone when I can barely even talk to them?

About the play, - im in a play two. It is pretty much my life and we rehearse late at night usually around 11 more or less later. It is possible to hold a relationship but you wont get THAT much time to se eachother. But i think its good not to suffocate eachother so much [ not that you do that ]

And really talk to your best friend. Make sure shes absolutely okay with you trying another time with John. If you sense that she wouldnt at all be okay w/ you getting back with him then IMO, i wouldnt .

Maybe wait & see how you feel about Matt ?
