Newsies Layout, help me spiff it up Options

I'm sure not a whole lot of you have heard of Newsies, but bear with me. It's basically a musical made in the nineties about these newspaper boys in 1899 NYC who go on strike. Well with a lot of cute guys and neat dance moves too (I swear, those pictures don't do most of them justice...). Anyhow, I have this layout and I need two things.

First of all I think it needs spiffed up... I've tried brushes and textures and overlays and everything, but it all just looks like it doesn't fit. So I need advice on that.

Second of all, I want to put a quote from the movie on there, and these are the lines I thought of while listening to the sound track (whaaaat, I love this movie). So tell me if one of them jumps out at you, okay?

"Carrying the Banner!"  --(it's, like, their motto)

HAHA, holy crap! I didn't realize I wasn't signed on to AIM! I thought you've been ignoring me all day!!! (I was all like... awwwwwwwww) Anyway I am talking about David, but maybe you should remove Bill if David is a main character...
