ok usually i dont ask for help with webdesign but i want to start making my own layouts for websites and such, yeah i know HTML and all, but i want to know if there is like a very easy, very simple tutorial on how to slice and code a layout.. like one that a 5 year old could understand. any help is greatly appreciated!

You can do it in Imageready, easy and simple. Use the Slice tool and click and drag to start making boxes of each separate image/link. After you've sliced your layout, use the View in IE (or other browser) tool and what you will see are all the images sliced up, as well as the code.
