Okay, remember me? I took my test already, this worksheet is just for extra credit. I'm not sure I did everything right...so...can you just re-check my work?!?! Because like, I really don't know if I did it right, and I need these extra points badly. Don't worry though, I actually DID the work this time....I don't want answers (well..i kind of do since you're correcting it). THANKS.
Well....I know how to do it..but like..on my last test..I missed a lot of stuff..so it took off a lot of points from my grade...so..if there is another pair of whatever, then please point it out. if i did something wrong, please point it out to me. thanks!! Please don't give me a wrong answer...like..don't just say random stuff.. K..here it is: Directions: Underline the adjectives in the following sentences. Drawn an arrow from the adjective to the word that it modifies. There MAY be more than one adjective in each sentence. Do NOT include articles. 1. He took a piece of flexible wire. adjective: flexible modifies: wire 2. His grandmother sewed soft fur to the wire. adjective: soft modifies: wire 3. Chester then put on the strange contraption. adjective: strange modifies: contraption 4. Earmuffs made Chester a rich man. adjective: rich modifies: man 5. Chester recieved an American patent for the earmuffs at the age of eighteen. adjective: American modifies: patent (i have a feeling there is another adjective in this sentence) Directions: Underline the predicate adjective(s) in the following sentences. Draw an arrow to the word that it modifies. Circle the Linking Verb. There MAY be more than one. 6. Because of trolley rider's fear, windshield wipers are common today. LV: are PA: common Modifies: wipers 7. To Mary Anderson electric trolleys seemed dangerous. LV: seemed PA: dangerous Modifies: trolleys 8. The drivers were alert LV: were PA: alert Modifies: drivers 9. The windshields became clean when drivers rubbed them with damp tobacco and onions. LV: became PA: clean Modifies: windshields (i have a feeling there is like...two more of these) Directions: Underline the noun or pronoun that is used as an adjective in the following sentences. There may be more than one in each sentence. 11. A human army used camoflauge to hide its tanks. Answer: human 12. Birds adjust their wings to the airflow as they fly. Answer: airflow(not sure...) 13. Most airplanes have adjustable wing surfaces, too. Answer: wing 14. Bats use sound wave to locate their prey. Answer: sound 15. Well, you're kind of just asking us to do your homework for you... Some people tried to explain how this stuff works in one of your other threads on the subject. It's best to learn, rather than have everyone else do work for you.

Answer: airflow(not sure...) ^the noun in there is birds..but it's not acting as an adjective....I don't think wing is one either.....neither is fly....so it IS airflow..right? |
