How would i blend the end of this pic into the white (THE BIT IN THE RED BOX) I tried using a graident but it didnt work

 But what and where would i feather? 1) New layer 2) Fill all white? 3) Marqueel Tool (ON WHAT THOUGH  )4) Feater (RADIUS?) 5) Press delete Thats how i feather on most things but i never used feather for things like this before |
