what do you do when the person you have been seeing for a while tells you that you ruined their life...i dont see how thats possible since you have more steps in life then the person you are dating...but the words all hurt the same....what do you do??

usually these choice of words are said because of fear. They are scared because u might have already done something to harm them, u knowning or not. This could also mean from peer pressure they were told stuff about you, so inturn they listene to their friends and made a qrap excuse to tell you... im not sure though.. can you tell us some more about your relationship?
