One of my bestfriends, we can call her Lily, acts like she's so much more better than me just because she has a lot of sophomor friends (we're freshman) and because she's in band. She'll like rub it in my face in a way so that it still makes her seem nice. Like today, she was telling like everyone that she loved Penelope (made up name of course). Penelope is a pretty and popular sophomor and she was kind of trying to rub it in my face that she was more popular than I am. She'll also always be like "Band Geek Pride Yo!" Sometimes she'll ditch her friends to hang out with her sophomor friends and tell me something they did that day that she thought was "cool". More like something she thinks will make me feel nothing compaired to her. I'm not the only one who feels like this either..

I don't think I've done anything wrong for her to treat me like this.. I've been a good friend. I listened to her whenever she needed to talk to me and tried to be there for her when she needed me, I've told her secrets like a best friend should, kept her secrets and I've haven't like.. Talked behind her back or anything.

So.. What should I do about her? I don't want to confront her because I don't want her to get mad at me and for us to not be friends anymore. My mom gives her a ride home sometimes and I don't want it to be all awkward when we're taking her home.

Thanks for reading and taking time to reply.

Well.. I don't really hang out with her much anymore. I do have other friends that I hang out with rather than her. But we've been best friends since 7th grade. We drifted apart a bit during 8th grade but we're still best friends. Thanks for your responces. I'll try to ignore it.
