keep trying or move on?, idk.. Options

mmk so i like this guy , and he knows it. he's known for about say a month.. maybe less. and he agreed to go on a date with me... but we still havent went, i guess he has been busy with games every weekend and so have i and whatnot. Anyway on a different subject my friend asked him if he liked me and supposedly he said "yes", then my friend asked him if we were going to go out and he supposedly said "yea, probably" (idk if i can believe that he said this, even though i dont think my friend would lie to me about that)... and since then he has sat by me and we've talked kinda outside school. But see we're both really really shy and kinda anti-social. So i dont know if I should keep pursuing liking him by talking to him (or possibly holding hands? idk if thats too much or not) or just like give up on the whole thing? any help is appreciated.. i hope i didnt confuse you guys.

um..you dont really ASK someone to hold hands..you just sort of do it.

and you have the right to feel whichever way you want

and if your not sure he likes you. just ask him. i KNOW it is not easy at all. because if it were easy, i would have asked this guy a while ago. but i decided to wait...anyways

if you think you REALLY want to know. the only way to know for sure is if you ask him. and i think its easier for him if you ask him if he likes u cuz that way he can just say "yes" or "no". AND when you ask him then he'll get the idea that you like him. so if he likes you he'd be more keen to tell you that he does, in fact, like you.
