What's your take on outsourcing? Here's a bit of background for those who don't know what it is: http://www.foreignaffairs.org/20040501faes...g-bogeyman.html
Personally, I don't really like it. Up until a few months ago, I wanted to become a computer programmer. But I learned that many of these jobs were being outsourced to other countries. However, it does help american business I guess. |

Outsourcing is the Corporations choice, there's nothing the US can do that would stop it. If I can make a TV in China for about $500 less then it would cost in the US I would do it, and you know you would too. One bi example is Dell tech support, there is nothing different between the old American Dell Tech people and the new ones in India, besides there accent and location. They both have the same amount of knowledge as the next one, and they get all there answers from a computer in front of them. I could pay a someone in the US to do it for about $6.50 (minimum wage) Which when dell tech was in the US they made about $10 a hour. Or I can pay someone in another country the same amount, and they would not strike and ask for raises. If I paid someone in India $10 a hour to sit at a desk and answer a phone they would be upper class in there country.
