Politicians sure love to talk about violent, bloody games like Grand Theft Auto, Mortal Kombat, and Postal. I just finished reading this one article on PC Gamer (was bored) and despite what people like Hilary Clinton and Jack Thompson have been ranting about all this time, violent and firearm-related crimes and teenage homicides have actually declined even after the release of the Playstation, and is still lower than 20 years ago when 'violent' games like "Mario Bros." were coming out.

I couldnt agree more with you. Video games do not cause youth violence, and whats more, they actually help with the imaginations of kids. Games bring people into worlds where anything is possible, and that in turn develops the thoughts that its possible to acheive something if you work hard enough....isnt that considered the "American Dream?" The military did a study on kids playing these violent video games and found out that they improve hand-eye coordination much better than kids that dont, they improve the decision making process under stressful conditions, and especially in wargames it puts a certain level of responsibility to "get your men safely through", all of which are good qualities to have, especially now that they are talking about the possibility of the draft being reinstated....and about the Mario Bros game...my MOTHER played that so often that she could beat the whole game and die maybe once, and i dont see her knockin off random people with sniper rifles or runnin people down in her car.... i think Hilary is still pissed off because when Bill was gettin head he was playin GTA. That's all I have to say for now.
