usually on reality tv and of course on the MAURY show (who's yo baby's daddy?) they say the guy gets the girl pregnant, leaves her, then goes to the next girl. i dont know why tv makes it seem that way. its the girls fault too, if she gets hersekf pregnant.

Er, well, it's usually a guy's fault because well, if the woman's going on the show it means that she's keeping the baby. It's ALL her responsibility, whereas the guy goes off with some other woman and is totally irresponsible for something he also created. Very, very rarely does this happen vice versa.

I think you misunderstood me. Never did I mean that the woman has no responsibility for the baby, it's just that she is obligated to take care of it, and therefore her part of the responsibility is taken care of. The man, on the other hand, has equal responsibility for his child, but isn't helping out at all. So...to put it more plainly: BOTH parents have EQUAL responsibility The shows make it seem like it's the guy's fault because he has NOT taken this responsiblity, whereas the woman HAS. If it was the other way around, say, the man taking care of the baby and the woman running off, I'm positive the talk shows would put the woman at fault. |
