I use to get a lil ticked off when people would say they loved each other within the first week of going out.
Now it's been about 3 months with my girlfriend, and i just told her i loved her. I was wondering how long do you think you'd have to know someone to love them? I've known her for almost 6 months and we've been talking for at least 2 hours+ on the phone a day. *I just want a girls opinion otherwise i'd post in relationships. :P |

I think it's about accepting the fact that you can't change the person and they can't change you, but you still work as a team to achieve a happy medium where you are both comfortable. It's about compromise, negotiation.. being completely dedicated to working together to make things work for the both of you. anyway.. sometimes i think i take the whole not saying i love you unless you really mean it a bit too far, but I've gotta stand my ground. I have had 3 guys tell me they love me and I have never said it back. I'm sure they were expecting to hear it and it wasn't exactly great for their ego when I said "I just don't think I love you yet"........... but I really feel that I should save those words for something that is real, where I feel safe and secure about everything. Plus I'm sure that when it really is love, there will be no awkwardness or difficulty in saying the words. |
