Why did you choose that?
I would never break-up with anyone by e-mail or voicemail because that just seems really.. cowardly to me. Online, it allows the other person to save face, and it saves you the guilt and the trouble of having to comfort them while listening to their tears; it also gives you more time to think about how you want to say things, etc. However, this is also somewhat cowardly, and it just seems... heartless. On the phone, you don't have to physically face the person, but how do you cope with listening to their painful reaction? In person, face-to-face is perhaps more difficult to do, but it's the most.. I don't know.. this way, I guess, shows that you care. This probably hurts the most, though. Just curious. |

I chose Online, via E-mail simply because that's the only way IV'e done it in teh past. Both times he's aske dme out via email so I havn't felt cowardly doing it, not to mention both times It's been less than a relationship...more like a "will you be my girlfriend?" and I respond "no" kind of relationship.
If I had a relationship with someone that really mattered to me and had lasted a fair bit, I wouldn't do it over email. I'd at least phone them up, but I'd prefer talking to them in real life, so I could really express how I feel. EDIT QUOTE(sadolakced acid @ Oct 13 2005, 7:41 AM) and then, if it wasn't really a relationship, but the other person just thought so or something, email is fine. Exactly what I mean by my first paragraph. Ofcourse if I had a real relationship I wouldn't break up over email or IM, that's jsut plain out mean and cowardly. |
