well i just had to ask this..my freind was having a solo and she told me that she couldnt' eat dairy all week, and i waslike why? and she was like well cuz dairy clogs up ur throat and ur voice doesn't come out that ssmoothly. now i've been wanting to audition for a part in the play which involves singing..but is this true is dairy bad for your singing? cuz i really love milk, cheese, and yogurt tongue.gif

yeah as people have mentioned before it causes your voice to sound very nasal, which is very rarely a good thing and on higher notes your voice to make a clicking sound.

honey isn't good for it either, it coats your throat as well and tea dries out your throat. Just drink water as hot as you can, it not only loosens up your vocal chords but it soothes your throat as well.
