Yep the Ramadan month really sucks. My boyfriend's Muslim too so for one month we can't do anything. Everytime we go out, we don't eat and we have to get home by around 6pm coz he has to go pray. Then around 7pm they "buka puasa" which means they eat. So yeah, basically since we go out a lot, I don't eat at all too. I mean how can you eat lunch in front of someone who can't until 7pm? We want to pierce our ears together too but we have to wait until next month.

QUOTE(Winter @ Oct 8 2005, 6:06 AM) Haha same here. Not only do I find myself fasting on Ramadan, I also stopped eating pork after we started living together. Just had a question for those who have a muslim bf or anyone who knows. Do you give him a present at the beginning or end of Ramadan? Are you suposed to? What are appropiate presents? |

What are appropiate presents? I, of course, don't have a Muslim boyfriend, but to answer your question, no, I do not believe gifts are exchanged during Ramadan. It is a month of prayer and introspection regarding Islam, and not so much a celebratory holidy. |
