hmm... so tonight i found out that my dad has been smoking since he was sixteen, which is interesting as i geniunely had no idea.

Hmm. I can't think of anything too incredibly odd but a few years ago, when I was doing a lot of family research, I found out a lot of intersting things about my family's past.
- My great-grandmother and her twin sister were "mistakes." Their mother was 50-something when they were born...their father, 62 I think. Nobody thought the mother would make it through labor with twins so when they were to be born, the family moved back to Tennesse so the mother could be buried there after giving birth. Turns out, she didn't die.  - My great-grandfather (husband to my great-grandmother above) worked on the Manhattan Project, desiging a specific part of the atomic bomb. I still don't know what exactly he did....he was never allowed to tell us. - I'm related to Princess Diana and when she died, not only didn't we go to England to attend her funeral but my mom wouldn't let me wake up to watch it on TV either. I was little and she thought that I wouldn't understand a lot of the stuff that was going on. Plus, because of the time difference, the funeral was at like 2 AM our time or something crazy like that. I believe we did send flowers, though. |
