okay thanks i understand that one now. There's another 2 other kind if you could help
2(a-8)+7=5(a+2)-3a-19 then the other one is 1 3 - d + - = -2d 2 8 |

QUOTE(angelbabystar @ Oct 6 2005, 6:10 PM) okay thanks i understand that one now. There's another 2 other kind if you could help 2(a-8)+7=5(a+2)-3a-19 then the other one is 1 3 - d + - = -2d 2 8 The first one: ~start with the distribution so... 2a - 16 +7 = 5a + 10 - 3a - 19 ~next combine the like terms 2a - 9 = 2a - 9 ~ get your "a" terms all on one side but since it'll equal zero then i'm not really sure... I dont' remember.. but the statement is true since you'll be left with -9 = -9.... but i'm not sure if it's no solution or not... #2.... I dont' understand the question... EDIT: I don't see how b0st0ngrl got her answer... it doesn't make sense to me... |
