Do you have a conscience? (Not like when you feel good or bad about something guilty, I mean like a voice in your head that tells you what's right and wrong).

i'm not sure if theres a topic already made on this, or this goes under another topic. close it if it exists.
guilty conscience n : remorse caused by feeling responsible for some offence have you ever felt guilty committing any type of crime? whether it be stealing, murdering, etc confession: i didn't use to have a conscience. i would steal little stuff like keychains, candy or whatever that i felt like that would be a waste of money. i stopped for some reason after i started going to church service. its been years since i took anything without paying for it on purpose. i just now went to a grocery store and i was looking at different types of comestic products. "neutrogena radiance boost eye cream" for dark circles and puffiness had caught my eye. i felt like i needed it but i was short on cash, not to mention this little tiny product cost about 10 dollars. even if i did have the money, it would seem like a waste to me. so.. after 10 minutes of debating whether or not should i just take this.. i did it. i quickly took it out of the case, and stuffed it in my purse. my legs felt like jelly walking out of the store. i felt so bad driving home, and even now. i didn't really need it, and i feel like i don't deserve it. darn my conscience. the right thing to do is to go back and confess i stole it and pay for the consequences, but i know i'm not going to. |
