Politicians sure love to talk about violent, bloody games like Grand Theft Auto, Mortal Kombat, and Postal. I just finished reading this one article on PC Gamer (was bored) and despite what people like Hilary Clinton and Jack Thompson have been ranting about all this time, violent and firearm-related crimes and teenage homicides have actually declined even after the release of the Playstation, and is still lower than 20 years ago when 'violent' games like "Mario Bros." were coming out.

Well to be honest I do believe games affect you big time, I mean I'm 18 and right after I play Halo I feel like shooting someone in the head. Also I still dress like a Jedi like they do in video games. I mean I would never kill anyone because I'm pretty much a nice guy, but it influences your mind and gives you ideas, although like I indicated before, it can also be used as a type of release so you don't go out wreaking havoc into the world.

now younger kids are different. they have a tendency to copy things from games, because they think it's cool. my 5 year old brother is a game freak, and sometimes he comes up to me with one of his fake swords and says "IM GONNA SHOOT YOU CASSIE BOOM BOOM BOOM!!!" and goes crazy. why? i dunno. mabye its because they don't know that much about society yet, seeing as they haven't been in chool very long or whatnot.
