I hear Hurricane Rita is going to hit Houston/Galveston/Sugar land (where I am) area. T_T
are any of you people worried about it? I mean, I know people who are going to evacuate and everything.. and people who don't worry about it at all. |

I was about to make a topic about this. It's the only thing everyone's talking about and I personally think they're overreacting. We have not even gotten any rainfall for the last few days and people are screaming "WE'RE ALL GOING TO DIE!!" Yes, I live in Houston and yes it is scheduled to hit and SEVERAL people including the teachers are evacuating (no school, HUZZAH). They say it's 15 MPH less than Hurricane Katrina and it's going to hit our area.
If Katrina hadn't just hit, no one would really care. Jesus .. the 6th graders are absolutely PETRIFIED. There are children all over the halls like "It's coming *twitch* in an hour *twitch*" |

There are children all over the halls like "It's coming *twitch* in an hour *twitch*" I agree with you 100% completely. I live in Missouri City, which is right next to Sugar Land, and I don't want to evacuate. But, granted, if my parents decide to leave I have to go with them.. but honestly. If Katrina hadn't messed up New Orleans.. no one would care so much. And, another thing. Katrina did not flood New Orleans. The levies breaking is what flooded New Orleans. But, anyways, I'm not worried in the least. |
