i just want an opinion, is distance a good reason for breaking up with someone, or is love the only thing that matters no matter how far apart you are?

Probably.
After awhile, you'll soon start too slowly stop talking to each other. Leaving messages... Sadly, if you are not present, your partner can do many things. Which is why it's hard to have distance...
