I think Rooney is definately one of the best bands ever. If you think so, too, post your little heart out!
Yes, this is indeed the band that appeared in an episode of the O.C. (I didn't discover them then, I'm proud to admit) Yes, this is the band featured in The Princess Diaries. Michael Moscovitz, a.k.a. Robert Shwartzman, is Rooney's beloved Robert Carmine (he changed his name for the band) Yes, Carmine's brother, Jason Schwartzman, was in the movie Rushmore and the former percussionist in Phantom Planet. Yes, Jason and Robert's mother, Talia Shire, was Adrienne in the Rocky movies and was in the Godfather films. Yes, their grandfather, Francis Ford Coppola, did direct the Godfather movies. I discovered Rooney on (not the O.C.) Yahoo Launch when they were the hot new band of the week. I watched the 'Shakin'' video and fell in love with their music. When I heard 'Blueside', I realized my brother had that on his Tiger Woods 2004 game and he and my parents thought it was such a cool song but didn't know anything about it. A year and a half later, I am a full-fledged Rooney fan anxiously awaiting the release of their second CD. I heard it's coming out in early 2006. They had some problems with producers, that's why it's taking so long.... lol Rin-chan |
