well, as julia stated, tommorow is september 11th. so my question is, what was your 9/11 memory? by this, i mean, where were you when you found out? what else happened that day? here's mine:
i was in 4th grade. it was first period or something like that. they were starting to say the morning announcements, and then our principal was like "the twin towers have been knocked down". something along those lines. the whole day i was really confuzed, because i had no clue what the twin towers were. in social studies, my teacher turned on the tv and we just watched the news, the whole period. i remember a few kids at school crying that day too >.>. when i got home that day, i turned on the tv, and every single news channel had the story on it. me and my dad talked about it for awhile, and he explained what the twin towers were and such. er- yeah. that was my 9/11. what was yours? |

grrr...why must we dwell on the past???
i was in 5th grade...in school. all of a sudden large amounts of students were getting called down to the main office for dismissal. one by one, we each started getting more suspicious. i wasn't one of the people that got called down...but me and my friends still knew that something wasn't right. i really wanted to know what happened but my teacher said that she wasn't allowed to tell us. so after waiting all day without knowing what was going on, i went home all worried. i remember walking into my parents' bedroom and my dad was laying on the bed. the tv was on and i looked and all i saw was a plane crashing into a skyscraper. i looked at my dad and his eyes were all red. my dad works in NYC. he had been in the WTC on the first floor checking out the stocks when he was saved by a police officer who told him to jump into a cab. luckily, my dad got out of NYC quickly and was able to take a bus home. what makes me sad is that the police officer that helped my dad get out ended up dying. im so thankful that my dad is safe and my uncle too who works in NYC and had to take the ferry home. this is why i don't want to be reminded of 9/11. |
