well, as julia stated, tommorow is september 11th. so my question is, what was your 9/11 memory? by this, i mean, where were you when you found out? what else happened that day? here's mine:
i was in 4th grade. it was first period or something like that. they were starting to say the morning announcements, and then our principal was like "the twin towers have been knocked down". something along those lines. the whole day i was really confuzed, because i had no clue what the twin towers were. in social studies, my teacher turned on the tv and we just watched the news, the whole period. i remember a few kids at school crying that day too >.>. when i got home that day, i turned on the tv, and every single news channel had the story on it. me and my dad talked about it for awhile, and he explained what the twin towers were and such. er- yeah. that was my 9/11. what was yours? |

5th grade, at home, getting ready for school. I was putting on my socks, when I heard the guy from our radio station (U93), say wow...this is...wow, they keep playing the video over and over....wow....a plane just hit the twin towers.
I had no idea what was going on. I went downstairs to take a drink, and my mom asked me what I was thinking about (I had my thinking face on), and I said "The guy from the radio just said a plane flew into a building, and that they keep playing it on the news over and over" My mom told me to go upstairs right away. I didn't get how bad it was untill we got to school. We got into the classroom and the tv was on. after we watched it for a half an hour or so, our teacher turned it off, he said he refused to have us watch it anymore because all he saw was fear on our faces. You know how they kept playing the planes crashing into the building oer and over? I never saw it, I still haven't seen it. I did see the firemen inside the building, with the video camera, and you could hear the bodies falling and splatering on the ground.... they sounded like comets. That was just...... After the shock of it wa sover, what sickened me was the fact that people took the pictures and edited them syaing "oh look the plane is coming!", or "look the devil is in the smoke!!" People are f**king morons like that. I hate this country. I'm moving to Canada when I'm out of college. |
