what's your 9/11 memory? Options

well, as julia stated, tommorow is september 11th. so my question is, what was your 9/11 memory? by this, i mean, where were you when you found out? what else happened that day? here's mine:

i was in 4th grade. it was first period or something like that. they were starting to say the morning announcements, and then our principal was like "the twin towers have been knocked down". something along those lines. the whole day i was really confuzed, because i had no clue what the twin towers were. in social studies, my teacher turned on the tv and we just watched the news, the whole period. i remember a few kids at school crying that day too >.>. when i got home that day, i turned on the tv, and every single news channel had the story on it. me and my dad talked about it for awhile, and he explained what the twin towers were and such.

er- yeah. that was my 9/11. what was yours?

I was in 8th grade and in my 3rd period computer class. My teacher told us that a plane hit the trade center and I got really scared because at the time, my dad worked at the chicago mercantile exchange building in downtown Chicago, but then I asked her and she said it was the Twin Towers in NYC. We turned on the TV and a few minutes later, the 2nd plane hit. In every class of mine, all we did was watch the news. I remember, it was a Tuesday because I go to my dad's house on Tuesday nights (my parents are divorced). My dad came to pick my sisters and I up at my mom's house and he told us that he was actually supposed to fly that day. In fact, he was supposed to be on one of the planes. He had decided to spend a few more hours where he was (don't remember) and rent a car and drive it home. I was so shocked and greatful that my dad was still there. We also found out later that my mom's cousin, who works at the Pentagon, was missing for a few days but he eventually turned up and was fine. That was one of the worst days of my life.
