... It kinda turned into a poem. It's dedicated to one of my best friends.

Somewhere out there
pounded by rain
Walks a boy
drowning in pain
The sunny days are
soon turned dark
He doesn't know where to go
where to start

I knew this boy
long, long ago
Watched his soul fade,
watched him go

He never dreamt for
a better life
Wanted to escape
his pain and strife
Where he's going
he doesn't know
Turning away from
those who love him so
Wanting to know why
he's still alive
Wanting to know why
he hasn't died

I tried to protect him
from an awful life
Tended his wounds and
gave him a light
Turned all his hurts into
sweet smiles
It seemed to work for
just a while

But fate turned his heart
another way
In a place so bright
he couldn't stay
Darkness fell as he
turned out the light
No hope now, he gave up the fight

If you see him on a
corner at night,
tell him I said he'll
be all right

Tell him,
when he's still in sight:

Darkness can't exist
in the presence of
Light...

wow ... that's all I can say ... wow. That hit so close to him and it kinda made me wanna cry. It's soo comfortingly sad ... if that makes any sense. That was great.
