Investigators said Soriya Richards stabbed Makeedah Cox to death at Saturday's Caribbean Festival at Palm Bay Regional Park. Witnesses told police the two girls were arguing about a boy near the stage at the festival, which honors Caribbean culture and youth with musical acts among other presentations. "Richards pulled out a pocketknife and stabbed the girl in the neck, basically severing her jugular," police spokeswoman Yvonne Martinez said. Palm Bay Fire-Rescue attended to Cox until she was airlifted to Holmes Regional Medical Center in Melbourne where she was pronounced dead. She was a Stone Middle School student, according to school records. Richards is being held in the Brevard County Juvenile Detention Center. |

the boy might have been cute to them, and they just had to kill one of them. but the one with the 10 year old killing the other person over the ball is dumber. this is just more terrible. stabbing a girl to death over a boy. every girl loves boys. but to death? ... to comit suicide?! now I'm going to start dating soon, and when I do get that age, I will remember this story. and another thing. how does that give that girl any good? the boy SAW the girl kill her right? or no? geez. |
