I know some people are tired of hearing about Hurricane Katrina over and over again, and I know there are other topics on it, but I was wondering how Katrina has affected you as individuals.
For example, gas prices, that affects everyone. Tell how Katrina has affected you and/or your friends and relatives. [EDIT] Another point just sorta popped in my head, how is this going to effect the future? Inflation.... Increase in food prices..... more poverty....... Life without oil *gasp* ... |

My friend who'd moved to Mississippi had to move back here and may stay the rest of the school year now, since their schools won't reopen until January and they don't want to mess up her brother's senior year. Fortunately for her, her house barely got flooed and all they really need is a new roof. She was very lucky- and we're very lucky to have her back
We also keep getting new students from down there. Today we got someone in band from New Orleans. |
