I miss you so much and I cannot imagine what life would be like if you were still here with me today. I know that for your short life you were a fighter. You were strong, but you were in pain. It killed me to see your tiny body with all those wires and monitors on it and every time that one of the alarms went off, I would get so scared that this could be our last minute together. When you peacefully passed away in your sleep, I convinced myself that it wasn't real. At your funeral, it hit me--- hard. And I lost it. I was and am a mother and, while I was nowhere near ready to be somebody's mom, I was never prepared to lose a child.

I want to thank you. Even though I couldn't save you, you saved me. You turned my life around, starting from the minute I knew you were coming. I had to change my lifestyle and pull myself out of the black hole I was living in because I knew that you couldn't survive in that type of atmosphere. Even though I didn't want to, I had to stop drinking and abusing OTCs. I gave it up for you but now I realize, it was for me too. You made my parents keep a better eye on me and you made me get into trouble--- a LOT of trouble. I got help and because of you, I have a much better relationship with some of the most important people in my life. If you had never come along, I don't know where I would be in my life right now.

A long time from now, when I have more children, I will always think of you and how life would be so different if you were still here. You will always be my first born baby. I know I will eventually see you again in Heaven but for now know that mommy loves you, Brooklyn. Mommy will always love you. And please keep your great grandpa company for me. He always wanted a little girl named Brooklyn Delaney but he got two sons instead.

I'm pretty sure that no one wants her to lose her baby. And afterall , I do again wish that you will remember your baby, but always move on with your life. No one wants see you sad, and fcuk those people who said crap. Look on the bright side.
