I think there was a topic about this but I just want to add more to it.
First, do you agree with people dating outside their race? Do you feel if they do, they are sort of betraying their own race? What race do you prefer? Would you ever date someone who wasn't of your background? Me, I've never dated anyone who was Portuguese or Caucasian. I've dated only Black and Hispanic guys. I find nothing wrong with it. I have this friend who is Indian and he says he will never date anyone who wasn't Indian. And his parents don't allow it either. |

^ I'm not going to preach to you like "OMFG, BUT LOVE IS LOVE!!" I know what you mean. It's kind of complicated. It seems like naturally people feel more comfortable around their own race which is why interracial marriages are so non-mainstream.
Personally, I think interracial marriages and dating are fine. It's up to the person. I think the biggest problem is successfully making a lifelong committment and that shouldn't affect anyone else. And all my relationships were interracial.. and unsucessful. But you can't really say anything is successful at my age. |
