They can, if they want to, but they're going to look stupid. And more importantly, they're going to look like they are trying to conform to their ideal of noncomformity, which is moderately pathetic.

I don't think trying to conform their ideal of noncomformity is pathetic. And I think everyone is different. They don't have to try to conform cuz they already are different. Wearing eye liner for boys isn't comforming cuz a lot of people do it... well in my place yeah a lot of boys do it. And what if they wear eye liner because they think it's fun? Some people wear eye liner because sometimes NOT to try to conform but for fun.

Oh, come on--there are very few, if any, guys who put on eyeliner because they think, "Hey, this will really bring my eyes out." There's a pretty select few guys who wear eyeliner, and they tend to be emo guys.

And for the person who thought trying to conform is pathetic... no i don't think it's pathetic cuz i think everyone is already different the way they are. What I think is pathetic is for someone who questions their motives and tells them what's cool and what's not.

It's pretty self-evident that most guys who wear makeup are the type who think of themselves as "non-comformists" and have to do everything they can do draw attention to the fact that they are "different". I can respect someone who does their own thing and doesn't try to be different (or draw attention to the fact that they are different), because yes, as a whole, most people are in fact unique. But it's tiring to see people going out of their way to "be different" by doing things like wearing eyeliner.

How do you know if they're trying to comform themselves? Did you ask them? And if you're gonna say they might be lying may I ask again HOW DO YOU KNOW??????? Sure it seems like an odd chance that they're not lying but hey, who knows? I hang out with emo people and they tell me they wear eye liner cuz it's a "punk rock/morbid" bond thingy for them. I don't know what made you think they're just trying to be different. You never know unless you ask. You really shouldn't underestimate people like that and predict their personality even though it seems like their trying to be diffrent.
