Need a little help with these problems:

1. (Solve equation for the given variable)

ax + by + c = 0 for x

2. (Express answer in simplest form in terms of the given variable)

The base and height of a triangle are consecutive odd integers, and the height exceeds the base. If the base is B cm, find the area of the triangle.

--------

Can anyone tell me how to do these please??

The first question is totally correct, but for the second one, instead of doing square then halving it, I would just directly plug it into the triangle equation as:

b(b+2)
--------
2

the simplified version is right, but be careful how you write that cuz for a sec i thought it was b2, not b squared.... also depending on how your teacher likes it, I'd simplify it as

B [ (b+2) /2 ]
