Okay, so I am 14, and almost 15.
When I was in elementary school, I had a family physician, but because the insurance fee was too expensive, so my parents switched to a different health insurance plan a few years ago (when I was in 7th grade), my mom picked a doctor for me, which was a pediatrician...and I didn't know about it until last week when I was sick and went to the doctor (because I seldom go to the doctor, I guess my immune system is pretty good). Last week, I went to the doctor and the sign said "pediatrics," I was like "Mom, I am 14 already, so why pediatrics? I used to have a family physician when I was young." And she replied with, "it's because you are a kid." Of course I was not satisfied with this answer and I was really mad, yes, I am a kid, but not a little kid. So I went inside the pediatrician's office, it was decorated like a preschool, and all the patients there were infants and toddlers. I felt so freakin embarrassed. The pediatrician didn't even have the tools for adults. So I got all those "baby tools" like the blood testing needles were the ones for babies. I am really lucky that I don't get sick often, or else I would have to stick with the pediatrician. So, did your parents did anything to you that is completely way out of your age range? |

Yeah, sometimes. I think. The last time I remember going to a pediatrician was when I was like.. ten ? Eleven ? I don't know.
