I don't know where this goes, but here goes anyway...
I'm 16 and I've been wearing glasses for a long time and I am really starting to hate them. I was thinking about getting contacts and I have my whole debate ready with my parents and my mom was like...ehh whatever your dad says but he was just...NO. That's it...his reason is that "I don't trust any technology that is at least 20 years old" and it is really stupid. My brother who is 23 has had contacts as soon as he turned 18 because he had the same problem but is there any way I can get them without my parents permission? There is no way that my mom would let me without my dad's permission, and he is really stubborn and I have tried asking him over and over again. I would pay for it myself, but the thing is I need my parents which cause the whole problem. If you are going to just tell me to wait...I really don't want to but if I have no choice I guess I'll have too. |

Contacts arent much different, both pains. I am 12, and got them last year. My mom has been wearing them since she was 20 so she knew how to work them. And stop me if i was gonna screw up my etc etc. But its a different stroy.
Just wait a couple years. If you are concerned a girl wont like you because you wear glasses, relationships when you are under the age of 18 really dont matter much anyway. Its not like you will marry them. <Edit my mom wasnt gonna let me get mine till i was 14+. Keep insiting your glasses are giving you headaches. And if they say "we'll get you lighter glasss" let them get you the glasses and a week after star compaling agian! thats pretty much how i got mine, accept my mom just got me the contacts instead of buing me a new pair |
