Anybody mind summarizing the plot (action) of "the hobbit" for me?

I've read the book, but the book is so boring and confusing. I've summarized it, but my sister says it's horrible, and nobody in my house can help.

All I need is a brief summary of the plot (action) of "the hobbit", so I can get the idea of the book, and finish off my summer work.

I'm not cheating, I promise. Just need something to read to get in my head, so I can start off my work.

Plus, I don't want to re-read 400 pages of the book again.... pinch.gif

Notice: This is not a forum where you ask people to do your homework for you.

- Please no member bashing in any way.
- Please don't spam.
- Remember, you do not help anyone by just telling them the answer. The forum is here so you can help them understand the process to get to the answer.
- Do not think of this as a substitute for your schooling or as someone who is qualified to teach you a full course; therefore, please try to make your question as specific as possible. That means, do not ask people to teach you algebra, science, or english the whole nine yards.
- Do not post just to say "I don't know" or the likes, and give a better answer than "google it".

ermm.gif Though this is not cheating, it's not allowed in the forum rules. We are not good substitutes for you actually reading the text.

Hmm, I'm not going to close this thread though. If someone is nice enough to write the summary for you, he/she may do so, but keep in mind that this isn't what this forum is for...

Why don't you type what you have so far and we'll help you tweek your summary?
